    Customs intercepts 16 containers of contraband items value over N10 billion in Lagos

    The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has intercepted 16 containers of contraband valued at greater than N10 billion and arrested 5 suspects in a significant operation on the Apapa Port in Lagos.

    Different seizures comprised seven containers of expired medication and banned medicaments, three containers of expired meals merchandise, primarily margarine, three containers of prohibited used clothes, and two 40-foot containers every carrying 1,290 sacks of frozen poultry.

    One container held 305 cartons of unregistered toothpaste hid underneath beads and jalabiyas, whereas two extra have been discovered to comprise expired chest and lung tablets with out NAFDAC registration numbers.
