    BUK Appoints Prof. Amina Mustapha as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and Development

    Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has approved the appointment of Prof. Amina Mustapha as the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and Development, replacing Professor Abdullahi Sule Kano.  

    The appointment was ratified by the Senate of Bayero University, Kano, during its session on Wednesday, 26th February 2025. Until her appointment, Prof. Mustapha served as the Deputy Director of Outreach and Publications at the Centre for Dryland Agriculture.

    According to a statement from the university, “She has tirelessly championed research, innovation, and capacity building.”

    A Professor of Agricultural Economics and Extension, Prof. Mustapha has been recognized for her contributions to knowledge and academic development.
