…Five abductors arrested The wife and the two children of the Kwara state House of Assembly member, Hon. Soliu Ayanshola, who were abducted recently have regained freedom, according to top government sources. They reportedly regained their freedom late Wednesday, about 8 pm, following discreet efforts of the security agencies and the Kwara State Government. “At least five members of the gang that abducted them have also been arrested following discreet intelligence and surveillance works by all the teams involved,” one of the sources said. A Special Offences Court, Ike- ja, presided over by Justice Olubunmi Abike-Fadipe, yesterday, sentenced a 25-year-old man, Shittu Babatunde Marvellous, to year imprisonment for engaging in fraudulent activities wherein he presented himself as an investor in crypto currency. Two persons were feared dead yesterday in a fire outbreak which occurred at Nine Energies filling station in Asero, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. New Telegraph learnt that the fire erupted when a medium tanker was offloading diesel into another tanker. It was further gathered that those feared dead in the incident included the driver of the tanker that came to receive the diesel and his assistant.
