The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has formally notified the Unbiased Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC) of the suspension of 4 of its nationwide officers over alleged anti-party actions.
In a letter signed by 14 out of 18 members of the Nationwide Working Committee (NWC) and obtained by the fee on November 4, 2025, the get together mentioned the choice was reached at its 608th NWC assembly.
In response to the PDP, the suspension was carried out according to Sections 57(3), 58(1)(a)(b)(c)(h) and 59(1) of the get together’s Structure (as amended in 2017).
These suspended are Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Nationwide Secretary), Hon. Umar Bature (Nationwide Organising Secretary), Barr. Kamaldeen Ajibade (Nationwide Authorized Adviser), and Barr. Okechukwu Osuoha (Deputy Nationwide Authorized Adviser).
The get together defined that throughout the one-month suspension interval, the affected officers would stop to carry out their official capabilities.
It additional acknowledged that, in accordance with Part 36(2) of the get together’s structure, the Deputy Nationwide Secretary, Setonji Koshoedo, would act as Nationwide Secretary, whereas the Nationwide Administrators of Authorized Providers and Organisation would oversee their respective departments pending additional motion by the Nationwide Disciplinary Committee.
