    GEEP companions NIMC, SMEDAN to spice up SMEs, farmers’ empowerment

    The Authorities Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) says it’s partnering with the Nationwide Id Administration Fee (NIMC) and the Small and Medium Enterprises Growth Company of Nigeria (SMEDAN) to strengthen beneficiary identification, promote digital inclusion, and improve capacity-building for small companies and farmers.

    That is contained in an announcement issued by Attari M. Hope, Head of Data and Public Relations at GEEP, on Saturday in Abuja.

    Based on the assertion, the Nationwide Programme Supervisor of GEEP, Mr Hamza Baba, introduced the collaboration throughout courtesy visits to the Director-Normal of NIMC, Engr. Abisoye Coker, and the Director-Normal of SMEDAN, Dr Charles Odii, in Abuja.

    Baba stated discussions with NIMC targeted on bettering beneficiary registration and verification for GEEP’s goal teams, together with market ladies, merchants, artisans, and smallholder farmers nationwide.

    He stated GEEP deliberate to register beneficiaries by occupation and develop a dependable data-sharing and verification mechanism with NIMC to reinforce effectivity and minimise fraud.

    Responding, Coker reaffirmed NIMC’s readiness to collaborate with GEEP to help beneficiary registration and verification.

    “NIMC is dedicated to a structured partnership that leverages our nationwide platform and area operatives to help GEEP enumerators and desk officers,” she stated.

    She defined that the collaboration would guarantee all beneficiaries possess legitimate Nationwide Identification Numbers (NIN) and Financial institution Verification Numbers (BVN), which might promote transparency and get rid of duplication.
