The Nationwide Chief of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi, has known as on authorities in any respect ranges to spend money on the training of Nigerians.
Obi, who accompanied the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Chairmanship candidate for Abuja Municipal Space Council (AMAC) within the February 2026 FCT Council elections, Dr Moses Paul, on a go to to LEA Nursery/Major School, Kapwa, a suburb of Abuja, mentioned training is the bedrock of any society.
He decried the dilapidated state of the college, noting that the college furnishings is in “irreparable circumstances.”
Obi questioned why a college with over 200 pupils had no bathroom amenities, and promised to offer the college a facelift.
“A very powerful factor we are able to do as a nation is to spend money on primary training. Funding in kids is an important.
“I’m right here right now to help my brother, Dr Moses Paul, the ADC candidate contesting for the AMAC Council. You already know he’s campaigning and going around the communities in his constituency.
“He instructed me that he went to a faculty that has no chairs for lecturers. They don’t have any bathroom.
“That’s what I consider leaders ought to do: go to faculties and different public amenities to see issues. As governor, I visited all the first and secondary faculties in Anambra State. I all the time like going to see issues,” Obi acknowledged.
The candidate, Dr Paul, condemned the deplorable state of academic amenities within the territory, recalling that faculties in Abuja went on strike for practically one 12 months as a result of the lecturers have been denied their welfare.
He promised to vary the narratives if elected.
