    NBA condemns illegal arrest of Kano attorneys, seeks AGF intervention

    The Nigerian Bar Affiliation (NBA), Kano Department, has condemned what it described as illegal arrest and harassment of its members by cops, urging the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) to intervene.

    That is contained in a press release signed by the department chairman, Mr Usman Umar Fari, on Tuesday in Kano.

    In accordance with the assertion, two attorneys had been arrested in September by cops who allegedly acted unlawfully.

    It stated that on Sept. 19, one of many attorneys, Mr Mohammad Bashir Adam, was arrested whereas finishing up his skilled duties.

    In accordance with the NBA, Hamza was later taken to Abuja on the grounds that he shared a surname with a suspect accused of insulting authorities officers on social media and for having contact with a consumer needed by the police.
