The Labour Party (LP) has dismissed directives by its former presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, asking celebration members to vote for one more celebration within the August 16, 2025 bye-election.
In an announcement signed by the Nationwide Chairman, Barr. Julius Abure, the LP described Obi’s feedback as “deceptive, mischievous, and delusional,” urging members and supporters to ignore them and vote for the celebration’s candidates.
The LP accused Obi of instigating and funding inside crises throughout the celebration, citing the controversial expanded stakeholders’ assembly in Umuahia on September 4, 2024, which the celebration claims was unlawful.
