    Troops of Operation Delta Secure (OPDS) have recovered stolen crude oil and different illegally refined petroleum merchandise valued at over N3.5 billion within the second quarter of 2025, spanning April to June, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) stated on Thursday.

    Offering updates on more moderen operations, Kangye stated OPDS troops recovered a further 344,749 litres of stolen crude oil and 162,681 litres of illegally refined AGO throughout the previous week.

    “Troops additionally found and destroyed 52 crude oil cooking ovens, 21 dugout pits, 11 boats, 36 storage tanks, 36 drums, and 25 unlawful refining websites. Gear corresponding to pumping machines, drilling machines, tricycles, bikes, cell phones, and 6 automobiles have been additionally recovered,” he stated.

    Moreover, he confirmed that 12 suspected oil thieves and different criminals have been arrested in the course of the operations, with extra arms, ammunition, and explosives recovered.
