    2026: Osun Meeting Endorses Adeleke For Second Time period

    The Osun State Home of Meeting has unanimously handed a vote of confidence in Governor Ademola Adeleke and endorsed him for a second time period in workplace forward of the 2026 governorship election.

    Throughout plenary on Tuesday, all 26 lawmakers — comprising 25 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and one member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) — expressed unwavering help for the governor, describing his management as impactful and people-oriented.

    Presiding over the session, Speaker Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun extolled Governor Adeleke’s achievements, significantly in commemoration of his sixty fifth birthday. He lauded the governor’s dedication to the event of Osun State and recommended his dedication to fulfilling his five-point agenda.

    “As representatives of the individuals, we’re pleased with Governor Adeleke’s management. His administration has introduced seen enhancements throughout varied sectors. We urge him to proceed constructing on these achievements,” Egbedun mentioned.

    Lending his voice to the endorsement, Hon. Simeon Popoola, representing the Boripe-Boluwaduro State Constituency, praised the governor’s character and management qualities.

    “Politics apart, Mr. Governor is a plain-minded persona, loving and real. These attributes have drastically assisted him in his efficiency,” Popoola remarked in an announcement signed by Olamide Tiamiyu, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker.

    The movement for the vote of confidence was moved by Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi, representing Obokun State Constituency, and seconded by Hon. Taofiq Olayiwola from Ede South State Constituency.

    Upon calling for a vote, the Speaker obtained an awesome refrain of “Ayes” from the lawmakers, sealing the Meeting’s endorsement of Governor Adeleke for an additional time period in workplace.
