The Chief of Workers to Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, Ernest Ezeajughi, has firmly dismissed reviews suggesting that the governor is planning to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the claims as “mere name-dropping by rumor mongers.”

Ezeajughi, addressing hypothesis that Soludo’s latest interactions with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sign an imminent defection from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), mentioned such narratives are designed to stoke political pressure forward of the state’s November 8 gubernatorial election.

“Let me be very categorical — Governor Soludo is in APGA and isn’t going to the APC. Each events could share progressive ideologies, however he stays dedicated to executing APGA’s progressive agenda in Anambra State,” Ezeajughi said.

He acknowledged that APGA, over time, has maintained a convention of cooperating with the social gathering on the centre with out defecting.

He cited precedents involving former governors Peter Obi and Willie Obiano, who each supported then-serving presidents whereas staying rooted in APGA.

Nonetheless, Ezeajughi dismissed such claims as baseless, stressing that APC already has its personal candidates for the upcoming election.

In line with the Chief of Workers, Governor Soludo stays targeted on his growth agenda, which has earned him accolades from each inside and outdoors the State.

He described President Tinubu’s go to as a recognition of Soludo’s infrastructure drive and socioeconomic reforms.
