Zamfara Police command on Friday disclosed that its operatives have rescued six kidnapped victims within the North-Western state.
Confirming the event, the spokesman of the Zamfara State Police Command, Yazid Abubakar stated the rescue adopted the Command’s efforts to revive peace and safety within the state.
He recognized the victims as Hon. Bakiru Masama, Dan Masama, Aminu Bukkuyum, Ahmad Masama, Umar Jema and Shehu Mulluwa.
Based on the Command’s spokesman, the victims have since been reunited with their households.
He stated the state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Maikaba, counseled the operatives for his or her immediate response.

The CP reassured the general public of the Command’s relentless efforts, in collaboration with sister safety companies, to rescue all kidnapped victims and make sure the security of lives and property throughout the state.
Maikaba urged residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious actions to the closest safety company for speedy motion.
“The Police Command has efficiently rescued six kidnap victims following a swift search-and-rescue operation,” the assertion learn.
“The breakthrough occurred at this time, sixteenth April 2025, at roughly 1:45 PM, when a joint police and Group Safety Guard (CPG) staff on freeway patrol alongside the Anka-Gummi Highway observed an deserted ash-colored Peugeot 206 by the roadside.
“Suspecting a kidnapping incident, safety operatives instantly launched a search operation, resulting in the protected restoration of the six victims.
“The Zamfara State Police Command stays resolute in its mission to dismantle prison networks and restore lasting peace within the state.” the assertion added.
