Operatives of the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC) have arrested two girls, Adeoti Folake and Adewuyi Modupe, for allegedly hawking Naira notes in Lagos.
Based on an announcement issued on Monday by the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, the suspects have been apprehended on Friday, March 21, 2025, by operatives of the Lagos Directorate 1 of the fee. They have been arrested for his or her alleged involvement within the abuse of the Naira.
The EFCC disclosed {that a} whole of N3,850,000 (Three Million, Eight Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) and N1,600,000 (One Million, Six Hundred Thousand Naira) have been recovered from Folake and Modupe, respectively.
The fee acknowledged that the suspects can be charged to courtroom upon the conclusion of investigations.
