    Cease Unlawful NIN Card Printing, NIMC Warns Companies, Cyber Cafes

    The Nationwide Id Administration Fee (NIMC) has issued a stern warning to cyber cafes and organizations towards the unauthorized printing of Nationwide Identification Quantity (NIN) playing cards.

    In an announcement on Monday, Kayode Adegoke, Head of Company Communications at NIMC, emphasised that solely the fee is permitted to problem the official Normal Multi-Objective Card (GMPC), warning that some other type of printed NIN card is illegitimate and violates the NIMC Act No. 23 of 2007.

    “The Nationwide Id Administration Fee has seen some unscrupulous people, cyber cafes, and organizations’ indiscriminate printing of unauthorized ‘NIN playing cards’ and charging unsuspecting members of the general public exorbitant charges,” the assertion learn.

    Adegoke additional clarified that “The fee has not licensed anybody or group to print any card instead of the NIMC Normal Multi-Objective Card. This act is towards the NIMC Act No. 23, 2007.”

    NIMC cautioned the general public towards patronizing unauthorized printers, urging people and organizations to chorus from utilizing any unapproved NIN playing cards as a method of identification.

    “The so-called NIN card isn’t licensed by NIMC, and not at all ought to anybody current it as a method of identification,” the fee acknowledged.

    To curb the fraudulent apply, NIMC revealed that safety businesses have been alerted and instructed to arrest these partaking within the criminality. The fee warned that anybody caught violating the regulation would face critical authorized penalties.

    Moreover, NIMC reaffirmed that the NIN slip stays the one authorized and verifiable doc for identification and should be used for accessing providers.
