Alhaji Ibrahim Salisu Buhari, a former Speaker of the Federal Home of Representatives, alongside together with his brother and sister, has been conferred with the normal title of Iyan Daura by the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruq Umar Faruq.
The ceremony, held on the Emir’s palace in Daura, Katsina State, acknowledged Buhari’s contributions to the Daura Emirate. Along with him, Dr. Garzali Salisu Buhari was honored with the title of Makaman Kasar Hausa, whereas Dr. Samira Salisu Buhari was bestowed with the title of Daurama Karama.
The Emir offered the honorees with their Staffs of Workplace, symbolizing their roles throughout the emirate’s conventional hierarchy.
In his remarks, the Emir emphasised the Buhari household’s longstanding relationship with the Daura neighborhood.
Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, who attended the occasion, urged the newly-titled people to make use of their positions to contribute to the event of Daura.
The ceremony attracted attendees from throughout the nation, together with Deputy Senate President Senator Barau Jibrin, Majority Chief Hon. Ado Doguwa, and former Deputy Governor of Kano State, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna.
