A 32-year-old infamous cult chief in Edo State, Osakpolor Edebor has been apprehended by the operatives of the state command.
Edebor who was stated to be on the police “Wished checklist,” was reportedly arrested in Auchi, Etsako West Native Authorities Space of of State.
The suspect allegedly belongs to a gang of gunmen masquerading as secret cult member.
The continued bloody clashes between rival confraternity teams within the State have left dozens lifeless.
Edebor was stated to have led assault on one Cyril in Uwelu market, Benin Metropolis, throughout which the sufferer was beheaded.
The suspect thereafter reportedly escaped from Benin and hid in Auchi.
Whereas in Auchi, it was gathered that he allegedly joined a gang of web fraudsters at a “yahoo yahoo academy”.
It was additional gathered that as a result of gang’s fraudulent actions in Auchi, the police raided the academy and arrested Edebor.
He was then transferred to the State Legal Investigation Division (SCID) on the Police Headquarters in Benin Metropolis for additional investigation.
Throughout police expanded investigation, Edebor was fingered because the alleged killer of Cyril in Uwelu.
The suspect who confessed to the crime stated he took half in Cyril’s dying to avenge the dying of his member he merely recognized as Lagbaja.
Edebor who confessed to the crime stated: “I used to be arrested in Auchi the place I used to be doing yahoo yahoo after a disagreement over the sharing of the proceeds.

“So, I and others violently stormed his Home in a bid to get well the cash. Folks then referred to as the police and we had been arrested.
“It was once we obtained to the police station that data filtered out that I used to be in custody. That was how the cult matter was added.”
The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Umoru Ozigi stated different gang members now at massive, have been recognized.
Ozigi acknowledged that these at massive can be arrested quickly. He counseled residents for volunteering data that has helped to tame the cultism menace within the State.
