The Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC), Uyo Zonal Directorate, has arrested 35 suspected web fraudsters in Abia State.
The suspects had been arrested throughout a sting operation in Aba, Abia State, on Wednesday, November 20
In keeping with the anti-graft company, the suspects, comprising 34 males and one feminine, had been apprehended in an early morning raid.
EFCC disclosed their names as Emmanuel James, Ukaomo Jefferson, Felix Onyema, Daniel Chimaobi, Chukwuemeka John, and Prince Ogbonna.

Edward Knowledge, Ejiogu Justice, Treasured Edward, Moses Meshael, Kalu Victor, Ujoatu Goodluck, Ikeh Sochima, Obinna Prosper, Onyekachi Christian, Christopher Chris, Treasured Good, Clinton Ifeanyi, Daniel Obuzoma, Chukwuebuka Promise, Cjay Ekeamaka, Ejiogu Value, David Favour, Okechukwu Emmanuel, and Nwigwe Pleasure.
Gadgets recovered from the suspects embrace 48 refined cellphones, 9 laptops, three unique vehicles, a wristwatch, and a world passport.
The EFCC acknowledged that the arrests had been a part of its ongoing efforts to fight cybercrime and web fraud within the area.
Investigations into the suspects’ actions are ongoing, and people discovered culpable will face prosecution.
