    Police Launch Manhunt For Killers Of Okada Rider In Rivers

    The Rivers State Police command has vowed to fish out the gunmen who shot useless a industrial motorcyclist and fled together with his motorbike at Civil Defence Street in Ahoada city of Ahoada East Native Authorities Space of the state.

    The Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, who confirmed the incident, stated that the perpetrators wouldn’t go unpunished, noting that the police have began investigations into the matter.

    On Sunday, November 17, an Okada rider whose title was given as Mr. Harmless was killed, and the incident reported at Ahoada Police Division in Ahoada major city.

    Based on findings, the dastardly act was dedicated by a 3 member armed theft gang, who first stopped the motorbike rider alongside the street, pretending they needed to board his Okada.

    The motorcyclist was stated to have resisted when he realised that they needed to rob him of his motorbike, forcing the robbers to shoot him, and ultimately fled together with his motorbike.

    Regardless of the efforts made by good Samaritans who first noticed him and alerted his family, the motorcyclist, who was rushed to the hospital for therapy, he didn’t survive the gunshot.

    The spokesperson of the state police stated that the police will go after the perpetrators of the crime and guarantee they face the wrath of the legislation.

    “Investigation is ongoing. Efforts are in high gear to apprehend the perpetrators and make them face justice,” she stated.
