The Girls Gate Initiative (GGI) has introduced a new book that explores the resilience and achievements of 23 women who have overcome various challenges to emerge as leaders in their fields.

During the event, the Executive Director of GGI, Ambassador Huzaifa Muhammad Jamil, spoke about the organization’s efforts to empower girls and women.

“Our goal is to help every girl realize her full potential by giving her the confidence, skills, and opportunities to become a leader and make a difference,” he said.

He also outlined the organization’s vision, stating, “GGI believes in a future where every girl can dream big and achieve those dreams. Through our programs, we focus on leadership development, education, and amplifying the voices of young women, ensuring they have the tools they need to shape their futures.”

The book includes stories of women from professions such as teaching, medicine, journalism, and advocacy. These narratives showcase how challenges were turned into opportunities, setting examples for others to follow.

Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor of KHAIRUN, Professor Abdurrasheed Garba, commended the book for its contribution to promoting a reading culture.

“Voices of Triumph aims to rekindle a love for reading,” he said. “This book is not just a collection of stories—it’s a tool to encourage young people to learn from the past and be inspired to create their own bright futures.”

He further noted, “Voices of Triumph will continue to share the achievements of remarkable women, ensuring their stories inspire generations to come.”

Amid declining reading habits, particularly among students, Voices of Triumph seeks to motivate the next generation to pursue success and self-belief.
