    Enugu Council Boss Appoints Senior Assistants for Yam, Pepper, and Backyard Egg

    In an uncommon transfer, the Chairman of Igbo Etiti Native Authorities Space (LGA) in Enugu State, Eric Odo, has appointed Senior Particular Assistants to give attention to particular agricultural produce.

    The appointments, made official by letters dated November 1, 2024, assign Ezeugwu Frederick Ogbonna as Senior Particular Assistant on Yam and Pepper and Nwodo Everestus Ugonna to advise on Backyard Egg and Pepper.

    Each appointees have been directed to report back to the workplace of the Government Chairman at Ogbede for a briefing and deployment to their respective roles.

    In Ezeugwu’s appointment letter, Odo said, “I’m happy to tell you that the Government Chairman of Igbo Etiti LGA has authorized your appointment as Senior Particular Assistant to the Native Authorities Chairman on Agriculture (Yam and Pepper). You need to report back to the chief chairman for briefing and deployment.”

    Equally, Ugonna’s letter learn partially, “I’m happy to tell you that the Government Chairman of Igbo Etiti LGA has authorized your appointment as Senior Particular Assistant to the Native Authorities Chairman on Agriculture (Backyard Egg and Pepper).”

    The letters clarified that the positions usually are not a part of the profession civil service however are non permanent appointments, held on the discretion of the chairman.

    The appointments have drawn combined reactions, with some residents praising the give attention to agriculture, whereas others questioned the need of such specialised roles.
