Nigerian safety companies have rescued 58 folks kidnapped by armed bandits below the command of a frontrunner generally known as Janbros.
The victims, comprising 35 males, 23 females, and youngsters, had been handed over to the Kaduna State authorities on Saturday.
The victims had been reportedly kidnapped from their houses and farmlands in Gayam, Sabon Layi, and Kwaga villages of Dan Musa Native Authorities Space, Katsina State. Throughout their captivity, they had been pressured to trek by means of the forests of Birnin Gwari.
On the handover ceremony, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Christopher Musa, acknowledged that no ransom was paid for the rescue.

Maj. Gen. Adamu Laka, Nationwide Coordinator of the Nationwide Counter Terrorism Centre, offered particulars of the rescue operation carried out by troops of 1 Division.
