The Kano State Authorities has secured admission and awarded scholarships to 50 college students to review at Al-Azhar College in Cairo, Egypt.
The initiative goals to bolster Arabic and Islamic schooling within the state, in response to the Commissioner of Schooling, Umar Doguwa.
Talking throughout a one-day stakeholders’ sensitization and interactive assembly organized by the Nationwide Board for Arabic and Islamic Research (NBAIS) in Kano, Doguwa, represented by the ministry’s Everlasting Secretary, Bashir Muhammad, reaffirmed the federal government’s dedication to integrating Arabic and Islamic schooling into the standard schooling system.
“The NBAIS programme is central to imparting ethical coaching to the youth. We urge stakeholders to give you concepts that may assist enhance the system,” Doguwa stated.
He additionally disclosed that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf had settled over 70% of the 2023/2024 examination charges for final-year college students on the School for Islamic Research (SIS) and the School for Arabic Research (SAS), a debt inherited from the earlier administration.
