The Katsina State Police Command has confirmed {that a} truck transporting gasoline cylinders exploded at a filling station in Jibia Native Authorities Space, inflicting important injury to 6 automobiles.
The Command’s spokesperson, ASP Abubakar Sadiq-Aliyu, disclosed the incident in an announcement issued on Friday in Katsina.
“On Friday, November 15, a loud explosion was heard by police operatives connected to Jibia Divisional Police Headquarters. The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), accompanied by a group and in collaboration with the navy, promptly responded to the scene,” Sadiq-Aliyu stated.
He defined that upon arrival, the group discovered a truck loaded with gasoline cylinders engulfed in flames at Tamal Filling Station, alongside Kagadama-Magamar Jibia street.
“The joint group swiftly deployed preventive measures to guard lives and reduce property injury, efficiently quenching the hearth. Six motor automobiles have been considerably affected by the hearth incident, however fortuitously, no life was misplaced,” he added.
