A Federal Excessive Courtroom sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital, on Monday nullified the Folks’s Democratic Party (PDP) Ward, Native and State Congresses performed by a faction of the celebration within the state.
The faction had few weeks in the past, performed Ward, Native Authorities and State Congresses to elect new leaders of the celebration.
In a swimsuit no. FHC/ AI/CS/183/2024 between Nnenna Lynda Udeh and 12 others, the applicant prayed the court docket to put aside the congresses for being unconstitutional.
Delivering judgment on the swimsuit, the presiding Decide, Justice Hilary Oshomah, dominated that purported congresses have been void, unconstitutional and of no impact.
