No fewer than fifteen people have reportedly misplaced their lives in a tragic highway accident in Mairuwa village, alongside the Funtua-Sokoto freeway on Saturday.
Confirming the tragic incident, the state Federal Street Security Corps (FRSC) spokesperson, Olusegun Ogungbemide cited poor automobile upkeep and driver negligence as main components of the accident.
Based on Ogungbemide, the accident occurred on Saturday, round 11 am when a Toyota Hiace bus, carrying passengers from Kano, skilled a tire burst, inflicting the driving force to lose management.
The bus then slammed head-on with a Sino truck operated by the Dangote Group.
The consequence resulted in a number of deaths, with many of the deceased being the bus passengers.
