The Delta State Police Command has neutralised two kidnappers and arrested one different on the Ewheru – Patani Street in Ughellli Native Authorities Space of the state.
The suspects and their syndicates have been stated to be amongst criminals terrorising the group and its environ. The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Edafe Vibrant, in a press release yesterday stated on October 28, Police stormed the prison hideout on Ewheru – Patani Street.
Vibrant stated in the course of the operation the suspected kidnappers ambushed the operatives and the crew engaged them in a fierce gun duel throughout which two of the suspects sustained bullet accidents.
He stated that following the encounter, one Beretta Pistol loaded with two rounds of reside ammunition, and one AK-47 rifle loaded with six rounds of reside ammunition have been recovered from the abductors.
In the meantime, preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects have been allegedly liable for terrorising Warri Sapele street, Masogar space and a few killings in Oghara and Ughelli.
