    Ekiti NSCDC Arrest Suspect With 500kg Of Hashish Sativa

    The operatives of the Nigeria Safety and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Ekiti State Command have arrested a suspected unlawful farmer working a hashish plantation on greater than ten hectares of land within the state.

    The NSCDC disclosed that the unlawful farm was situated alongside the Ilawe/Ikere and Igbara-Odo axis of the state and unfold to neighbouring cities.

    The hashish farm was found by the operatives of the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) hooked up to the Ekiti NSCDC command.

    The Ekiti NSCDC Commandant Mr Oluwaseun Sosina, whereas parading the suspect on Monday advised Journalists that one suspect named David Akpan was arrested throughout a patrol train by the CTU.

    The Commandant defined that an investigation is ongoing to apprehend different suspects at massive.

    He mentioned: ‘You’ll recall that the operatives of the CTU had been stationed alongside the Ikere /Ado Ekiti axis to checkmate criminals and miscreants from shifting into the state capital. This effort led to the revelation and the eventual discoveries of the plantation and the arrest of a suspect”

    He defined that the arrested suspect who’s at the moment detained on the workplace is helping the command in unraveling the whereabouts of different suspects.

    He promised that the command would hand over the suspect to the Nationwide Drug Regulation Enforcement Company (NDLEA) for additional investigation.

    The Commandant subsequently urged farm homeowners to watch out of those that are utilizing their heritage for unlawful actions, warned that” the command is not going to spare landowners who’re discovered culpable when investigating unlawful utilization of land assets “.

    Sosina famous that “the command Agro Ranger Unit has been deployed to the realm for correct monitoring and surveillance.”
