The Lagos State Ministry of Atmosphere and Water Sources has sealed off Messrs Charterhouse for environmental violations.
The Commissioner, Ministry of Atmosphere and Water Sources, Mr Tokunbo Wahab, made this recognized on his X deal with yesterday.
Wahab stated it was sealed over alleged unlawful reclamation of wetland and building with out requisite drainage clearance and wetland allow.
He stated the enforcement operatives from the Wetland and Conservation Division of the ministry, sealed off Messrs Charterhouse after being served a cease work order.
“This property round Ogombo in Eti-Osa Native Authorities, was sealed off over an unlawful reclamation of wetland and building with out requisite drainage clearance and wetland allow.
“The ministry had earlier served a stop-work order on Aug. 15 on Messrs Charterhouse and the adjourning properties. “This cease work order was for inflicting wetland loss and degradation, biodiversity loss, desecration of the buffer zone holding extra water and stop flooding,” he stated.
