The operatives of the Nationwide Drug Legislation Enforcement Company (NDLEA) in Lagos State have recovered drug consignments price ₦4.4 billion hidden within the bathrooms of an Ethiopian Airways plane.
Confirming the event on Sunday the NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi stated it was found throughout the post-landing cleansing of flight ET900 from Addis Ababa to Lagos on October 29, 2024.
He famous that the medicine have been wrapped in 9 polythene baggage and hid within the waste collectors within the two rear bathrooms of the plane.

Moreover, he added that a minimum of 30 suspects are being questioned in reference to the medicine uncovered.
“The try by members of a global drug syndicate working between Brazil, Ethiopia, and Nigeria to smuggle into Lagos a complete of 845 wraps of cocaine weighing 18.72 kilograms has been thwarted, with the consignments recovered by NDLEA operatives at Murtala Muhammed Worldwide Airport, MMIA, Ikeja.
