    Nile Group secures royal partnership to launch 1,000 screens in 5 Years

    Nile Cinemas has secured a historic partnership with His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, to handle Ojaja Cinemas in a venture that goals to remodel the Nigerian film leisure panorama.

    This alliance plans to launch 1,000 cinema screens throughout Nigeria over the following 5 years, starting with places in Ile-Ife, Akure, and Lagos.

    The administration handover passed off in a ceremonial signing on October 29, 2024, attended by the Ooni of Ife and his spouse, Olori Ronke Ademiluyi Ogunwusi.

    Talking on the occasion, the Ooni highlighted the venture’s potential impression on Nigerian youth employment via his 1,000-acre Ojaja Movie and Expertise Metropolis.

    “I’m not an professional, however I’m utilizing my platform as a monarch to create employment for Nigeria’s younger and rising inhabitants. We can not rely solely on the federal government, and that’s why I made a decision to determine the Ojaja Movie and Expertise Metropolis,” he acknowledged. 

    This expansive inventive hub in Ile-Ife, inaugurated on October 17, 2024, by former Minister of Works and former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, alongside Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, goals to foster movie manufacturing and expertise improvement on a big scale.

    The Ooni praised Nile’s CEO, Moses Babatope, for his pioneering contributions to Nigeria’s movie trade. Babatope, who beforehand revolutionized the cinema panorama with FilmOne, shared Nile’s imaginative and prescient for an elevated leisure ecosystem.
