The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has arrested and paraded suspected vandals of Streetlight cables in Abuja.
The Abuja Metropolitan Administration Council (AMMC) stated the suspected vandals had been arrested by the native vigilante teams on responsibility at varied places.
The Coordinator, AMMC,Chief Felix Obuah, on Friday stated over sixteen suspects had been arrested, inside one week.
Based on him, about 5 of the suspected vandals had been arrested simply on Thursday.
Obuah stated, “Safety is everybody’s duty. We’ve enlisted the assist of native vigilantes and hunters, which led to immediately’s arrests.”
He added that, “ the AMMC has intensified efforts amid rising issues about harm to new solar-powered road lights, which had been just lately put in to enhance public security and visibility at night time.
