Nigerian music sensation David Adeleke, popularly often known as Davido, has set a brand new file for the most-watched TikTok livestream in Africa, attracting a complete of 389,800 viewers.
The milestone was achieved throughout a livestream co-hosted with TikTok stars Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq on Wednesday, October 30. At its peak, the stream gathered over 164,000 simultaneous viewers.
In the course of the session, Davido acquired greater than 377 “lion” presents from followers on TikTok, with every lion valued at $400. He introduced that the earnings from these presents could be shared amongst his co-hosts, Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq.
Beforehand, Peller held the file for the most-watched TikTok livestream in Africa, a title he earned in a session that includes singer Tiwa Savage.
Davido’s achievement has now set a brand new benchmark for livestream viewership on the platform within the area.
