    In a communiqué launched on October 29, following a stakeholder workshop in Abuja on October 24 and 25, the committee, led by Co-Chairman Prof. Attahiru Jega, recognized insurance coverage as vital for managing dangers that deter funding in livestock farming.

    “Insurance coverage protection for livestock funding is essential and needs to be carried out,” Jega said, stressing structured danger administration.

    The workshop gathered greater than 400 members, together with governors, ministers, and conventional rulers, to debate challenges within the sector and suggest reforms.

    Key suggestions included establishing a nationwide feed safety program to deal with shortages and stabilize feed provide, addressing considerations about smuggling and provide disruptions.
