The catholic diocese of Auchi on Monday disclosed that the rector of the Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary, Etsako East Native Authorities Space of Edo State, Reverend Father Thomas Oyode was kidnapped on Sunday night.
In keeping with the diocese it has lodged an official report, looking for the help of legislation enfocement businesses in securing the discharge of father Oyode.
A press launch issued by the Director of Communications of the diocese, Reverend Father Peter Egielewa disclosed that clergymen and seminarians of the Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary, Ivhianokpodi, have been observing their night prayers and benediction on Sunday night after they have been attacked by gunmen round 7 PM. catholic

In keeping with the diocese, the vice-rector and all of the seminarians have been accounted for and have been relocated for security functions
Moreover, the diocese mentioned it has, not had any communication with the abductors of Father Oyode.
